My "daily" is currently off the road, just sitting there in the garage collecting dust waiting for me to spend a couple hours putting it back in service. Just needs turbo seals (replacing the whole thing with one I had rebuilt a while ago) but I have been renovating my new house since March and am currently in the process of moving so it'll have to just sit there and get dusty for another couple weeks. Hopefully the mice don't kill it before then. 2005 Subaru Legacy GT, stage 2.5. Fast and fun, but high miles at this point, got an engine on the stand waiting for a full build when I have time to breathe after the move, going with forged internals so I can go full on stage 3+.

So I've been driving the GMC pig every day in the meantime. '08 2500 w/t with a 6.0, no frills true stripper truck with rubber floors, crank windows, manual t-case etc. She's ugly but is good at getting work done when I need it

V6? Hahaha

No.
Only 6 bangers in the stable are the old Jeep and the Mega cab. 6 in a row, built to tow!
Only V6 I’d consider owning would be built by Buick, black and have a turbo!

Amen to that

yep and i have had all three and don't care for them.
3.1 intake gaskets > dexkill
3.5 lack of oil control i have seen them either leaking or consuming oil at 50,000 miles
3.6 timing chain problems and on early models oil consumption.

2.8 and 3.1 are a fine engine and the ones that got regular oil changes were good for 250k of more.

3100 and 3400 had the obvious intake gasket issues, but after replacing the plastic ones with steel/rubber, they are every bit as reliable as the 2.8 and 3.1 engines.

3500 (non vvt) was an even better engine with no intake gasket issues (dry intake). I have not experienced any oiling issues with them and they have the same basic oiling system as the older variants. Also good for 250k+. I haven't dealt with the VVT 3500 and 3900 much at all.

3.6 is an entirely different engine. The newer ones are supposed to be very good, but I don't know much about them.

Lol, I was unaware of what Cubo meant this whole time.

It's just the reflection in the picture. All 4 wheels are chrome with factory black caps.

My Spark has a 1.2L engine. I win for smallest engine. 0-60 in 15 seconds.

The before and after on those wheels is incredible.

thank you. I polished them when I put them back in this spring after I took the winter wheels and tires off. It’s amazing that they’re 33 years old, have never had a crimp in wheel weight on the outside to scar them up and no curb rash either. They polished up nice and very easy for sure. I have a set of rally wheels for it 7” front and 8” rear that I’d like to use when I need new tires to get a little bit of a staggered look but it’ll be sad to just let these wheels sit too.

I have to admit that we have way too many vehicles here currently. But, my daily drivers are a 2018 F150 and a 2007 Ram 2500 5.9L Cummins.
