Yup, I'm sure this stuff was super old and the cheap stuff. The conventional ammonia and trash bag or heat gun didn't work. The heat gun and razor blade did. Then I had to spray the windows down with GooGone and scrape them again. Then washed them with Windex. Took about 3 hours but it's done now.
Ive always used the static cling tint but the s10 was really pissin me off so i sent it to be professionally done. My square has 5% static cling that i put on.

Transmission swap was completed today in my girl, with the deep pan, my factory crossmember wouldn't work, I thought I could mvoe the crossmember down, but that turned out to be a bust, so I modified a 4x4 crossmember with some fab work to work in the truck.

Man..

She ******* slams 1st-2nd gear... So hard in fact, it barks the tire in between the shift.

Super cool.

Thanks to @WamboJambo for helping me out today.

My super gargantuan, back breaking, labor intensive, mentally taxing work on my truck which I performed today consisted of...... wait for it ......changing the fuel filter!!!! As a reward for my tenacity of staying after it until it was finished numerous adult beverages were dispensed with, I sure worked up a thirst!!! LOL

Seen some random dude On a motorcycle on the side of the road, passed Him, pulled Over, turned around, came back, Asked what was up, he said he was out of gas, so I went home, got a gas can and came back and picked him up, took him to the gas station. On the the way there I got on it, he was tripping out on the shifts lol. I said, today's the first day I've drove with this transmission, I installed it today, it's got a shift kit. He said "I felt it, I felt it!" Lol, it was funny. When it slammed into 2nd he kinda jerked lol.

Just a cool dude a long way from home on his motorcycle

He said he lived at the nc/va line, so he was about 2-3 hours from home.

Just a biker broke down on a country road.

I told @WamboJambo to get in the back seat (I had one in the pipe, under my ass just in case), let the guy get up front with me so I could watch him.

But he turned out to be just a cool dude, very appreciative because I helped him out.

I like to think one day maybe I'll be far from home, broke down, and someone will see me and say "hey there's that kid with the suburban!"
And pull over and give me a hand.

We live in a cruel world, full of people that won't help.
I'll pull over and help a black, white, yellow, or whatever man just a quickly as a white man.

My dad told me about his youth, how back in the day guys would meet randomly at the gas station, take a pull down a country road just for *****, (in their cars/trucks), or just pull over and help a total stranger, etc etc.

I try to maintain that to this day.
I just recently met a guy (in his 40s)with a Oldsmobile 455 car, we got together, had a blast , just taking a run down some back roads together, it was downright fun just to race with that old guy.
His 455 Olds could get up quicker on the low end, but my small block could leave him on the top end, it was a whole **** load of fun swing that sexy Olds in my rear view mirror.

We cruised into his place, both smiling ear to ear, just having a grand time.

It's **** like that I love.
I wish people could just go back to a time of having fun without being butthurt. (nobody cares who lost or won)

I truly appreciate you people on this forum (30+) years old for just being cool, and having fun.

Or the instance to tonight, that dude was a long way from home, broke down on a country road, he just needed a hand.

Damn, I'm gonna miss you fuckers when you're gone.

(sorry everyone)

It is hard on the u joints.
I imagine eventually I'll have to upgrade my rear end and u joints.

I've had a couple built 700r4's in daily drivers with one hell of a firm 1-2 shift, never had any troubles with u-joints or anything. But maybe I was lucky.

Do you have that mounted before pump or after?

I have it mounted alongside the passenger side frame before the pump! The Holley carb has dual sintered bronze filters at the fuel inlets on each bowl. I would never put that plastic fuel filter in the engine compartment!

Not exactly something I've "done to my square"

But I learned how to drive 3 on the tree today.
(kinda)

@WamboJambo let me drive his 78.

Inline 6 and 3 on the tree.
Ive driven 4 on the floor (Sm465), a 5 speeds and automatics, but NEVER 3 on the tree.

I can recall it now, pull back, go down, grab 1st, go straight up, hit 2nd, and then go down, grab 3rd

I kept hitting 3rd when I'd downshift to 1st tho lol.

That was fun.
