I own a '74 Chevy C10 with a 350 bored .030" Z28 from the factory that somehow ended up in my truck with a 2bbl. on it. So we got some '70 Z heads taken out to 2.02, 1.60 and now I can say I've got an old school Z28 motor in my truck. I started out buying a '69 Mustang in '68 when I got back from Vietnam with six months left in the Army. It sure was nice driving a new car. It had a 351 Winsor, 2bbl. with 3 on the floor. And since I've had '48 Harley panhead, old '54 International Harvester pickup, Scouts, '69 Dodge Charger, Dodge Dart with a 225 cu.in. Slant six in it that was a ball, you couldn't kill that engine for nothing. I was so poor when I had it and when it needed oil I would put a piece of black electrical tape over the light and just keep driving it to work.
I'm 71 and am a school trained welder in 1972, disabled back in 1992 and years later when I got my money from Workman's Comp., and Social Security I built my truck because I knew I wouldn't have any more money and I had always wanted some kind of hot rod. So I had my old work truck and I figured I might as well use that and it turned out real nice. I showed it for a few years and never won anything less than second place and a bunch of "Best Engine" trophies with it. I had spent a few years as an air craft mechanic and welder and put all that air craft stuff into it.
Of all the cars and truck I wish I had kept would be the '69 Charger because I love those years Mopar's, and probably the 1954 International Harvester pickup with the big "Diamond Six" in it, three speed on the column just because it was so different from other pickups.
I came on here because I needed help with my trans. not knowing much at all about transmissions. And as I thought there was a lot of people who know how these things work from being a repairmen on them for a long time.

Welcome to the forum.

While I'm not a huge classic Mustang fan, I did have a '67 Z28 all matching numbers, and for the last few years been trying to buy a '69 Hemi Charger that's all original and low miles. The owner of the Charger is a friend of my dad's and isn't quite ready to part with it yet. My dad borrowed it a couple times when I was younger and it was the first real muscle car I rode in when I was probably 10. I have a '63 SS Nova that I've had since I was 16.

Welcome from Georgia!! Nice truck! Technically though, an "old school" Z28 engine is 302 cubic inch.
