Dully with regular 16" front wheels

Hey is anybody out there running a dually with the regular front wheels, trying to get an idea of what a 16-in stock military style steel wheel would look like on my dually as far as offset, what's the biggest tire I could go without rubbing?I believe I would use a spacer in the rear but keep the RIM stock, any photos or experience appreciated

I've seen someone put a standard tire wheel on a 2WD front dually hub in an emergency. The outside edge of the tire was flush or slightly protruding from the wheel wheel.

Back in the 90's, there used to be a local K30 flat bed truck that ran a widened stock dually wheel in front (9.75" wide was the standard then) with a 33x12.50x16.5. Similar to photo #1, but I recall the rim was re-centered so the tire looked more like my avatar photo. In the rear, it was running dual 255/85R16's.

I got photo 2 & 3 off the internet. He's running a standard D60 dually front hubs with Hummer wheels and 37" tires. Sorry it didn't have anymore info.

To run a srw rim on the front, remove the dually rim adapter and put whatever you want on it for size/offset etc.
you’re wanting to run a stock 16” srw steel wheel? That will work just fine without the adapter in front.

Are the wheels and picture two and three actual Hummer wheels, how much do they vary from the regular CU CV wheels? If I was looking for a set where would I look, I would probably like to run a 31 10:50 or possibly 33, for the front of my dump truck,I wouldn't want to spend a ton of money on them not knowing exactly how they're going to look or fit.

Standard truck rims on the front of a dually make for an extreme roller skate look. Hummer wheels work because they have a bunch of backspacing like a dually rim.

There's no "dually rim adapter", it's different hubs altogether. Only the modern trucks have an adapter that bolts on.

Not to butt in but, are single wheel one ton front 4 wd axles the same as dually? Same spindle and measurements just different hubs?

With a little bit of research that I've done in the past 24 hours, it looks to me like the backspacing on the Humvee beadlock wheel, and a standard steel CU CV wheel has got to be pretty close, I'm definitely not looking for a roller skate style offset, just looking for something a little more aggressive that I can pick up on the cheep

A CUCV wheel is just a standard rim like used on all the civilian pickups. A hummer 16.5" rim has similar backspace to a dually rim. But the hummer rim is around 8" wide rather than 6" or so.

With @bucket information, put single tire hubs on it, open up alot of possibilities.

Thanks for the clarification

I guess I should have said "from the factory" too. Because there were aftermarket dually conversions that used bolt-on extenders.
