Need help on cleaning cowl

Ok. I just removed my cowl to find this:

You must be registered for see images attach


Vacuumed that out...
You must be registered for see images attach


Removed the plastic grid and found this...
You must be registered for see images attach


You get the idea. So I get rid of all the junk....

But now I need advice on making it **** and span! I want to spray it down with disinfectant, degreaser and scrub what I can get to. Then I want to pressure wash it out. But I am not sure the pressure washing is a good idea. Don't want leaks inside. Anyone have a good procedure for cleaning out the cowl?

I’d have burned that thing to the ground if I found all that in the cowl but maybe try bleach in a spray bottle and a rag or sponge on it.

How did all those wrappers get in there? You park this thing in the landfill?

This thing hadn't been registered since 2012. Passed hands and was used as trail rig. Not taken care of at all. Last owner planned to make a KOH truck out of it and then changed his mind. I never saw what was in the cowl until I got it home and really began looking it over.

Rodents had a field day!

Alternating courses of Simple green, scrubbing, 10 to 1 bleach solution soak (7 - 10 minutes) rinse lather and repeat and now its a bit cleaner:

Looks much better, but while you've got it all apart and cleaned, I'd redo your seals. I see a crack all along it, and you could have a leak

Definitely will have to get back in there and take care of that.

You might want to pull the blower motor and check for junk/trash inside there.

This is something I still need to do. I want to pull it and put a newer model in anyway. There was a thread on here at one point talking about putting a GMT800 (I think?) blower motor in. One from the 90s. Apparently it makes for a nice upgrade and increases airflow.

I've heard that too but cannot confirm it and have long forgotten where that thread is.
