Looking to replace the 350 TBI with something with more power.
I need the truck to be able to pull my backhoe (7K+trailer).

Unsure of how to go about it with the EFI other than cutting it right out/leaving disconnected if going carb, or if there is a semi/plug and play upgrade.

Opinions are much appreciated!

Couldn't you just drop in a TBI 454? Maybe a Gen VI long block with the TBI intake and electronics? Hell, get a donor 1995 Suburban and swap the 4L80E over also.

I am not sure if you can do a 454 TBI swap, anyone have any idea?
