Needing some help wondering if anybody knows how to fix my problem. I currently re wired my whole 84 c10 with a Painless harness everything works just like it should. My tail lights are shaved and the only system of tail lights and blinkers for the rear is my line of fire. My blinkers work for both sides but once I hit the brake the turn signal shuts off then comes back on when I release the brake. I also replaced the turn signal flasher with a painless flasher that is specifically made for LED lights and turn signals. The front turn signals work fine also. Every single ground on my truck has been replaced and my line of fire is grounded out just fine. Some posts on google were saying to add a ground wire so it can support the electrical system so it can support both turn signal and brake light when but how do I go about that? Thank y’all and hope somebody knows how to fix this. This is literally the only thing that’s holding my truck back and it’s frustrating as hell lol.

1. When you say the T/S shuts off; do you mean the lamp stops flashing and remains constantly lit, or that it goes completely out (dark)?

2. Was the directional switch (or associated wiring) changed as part of the modification?

3. With no T/S turned on, do the brakes lights illuminate when you step on the pedal?

The rear directionals/brake lights use the same filament and are fed by the same leads. Your front T/S's are okay. So, the interface between the Painless harness and the factory wiring could be the issue. I would look closely at those connections. But without knowing the answers to the above questions, it will be difficult for anyone to offer any advice.

A video of the taillights would help a lot, like lights on, brakes, t/s. Additional to the questions above.

2. Turn signal switch in the steering column was replaced but the actual turn signal lever that controls low and high beams was never replaced.

3.my brake lights do illuminate with no turn signal on.
