Hey y’all, I’m looking to put a new engine in my k20, and was considering a 453t Detroit. Anyone have one of them and what transmission are you running with it? Would love to see some pics !

This Detroit 353 is hooked to an Allison 540. Would need an overdrive gearbox to work well in a pickup. The little
Detroit's don't rev very high.

Good luck. The trans will cost you more than the truck is worth, assuming you can find one.
