Trans swap shift linkage question

Doing a LS swap on my 85 k20 LQ4/4l80e. I am not sure why I didn’t think of it but just picked up the trans this weekend and boom I was like uh oh.
I looked around on here and I can’t seem to find it.


For anyone who has done something similar, how did you get the linkage to mate to the trans? It’s a cable transmission. Thanks for the help.

Take the u shaped bracket off your original trans and attach it to the 4L80E. Stock linkage works just fine. I have the same setup in the same year truck.
