I can't see enough of the taillight to tell.... But what's that yellow car? Moostang?
Yes sir, the little lady's "66" mustang which we got rid of as it had turned into a virtual money pit. Finally come across someone with more money than good sense that had to have it and they made an offer we couldn't turn down. Besides, it was a Furd!!! Didn't need any of the other vehicles developing bad habits, Lol!!

Monday took the truck for state inspection which it passed with an A+, rest of the week just piddled with repainting my Anti-Antifa grill guard and reinstalled it. The horizontal bars on grill guard go thru the 2 3/8" uprights so it is extra stout. I fabbed it up a few years ago after taking out the front end of my wifes suburban with a 8 pt. buck at 75 MPH dead center, it vaporized the deer!!! Decided to repaint the headache rack also. The $7.00 cans of Krylon Industrial sure beat the hell out of the .98 cent cans of Walmart rattle can paint. I decided to not be so cheap this time and am confident it will last. Now I have to spend the weekend getting caught up on yard work. Place is starting to look kind of shaggy as I generally keep it manicured as best as possible. Ugg........

Does your parking break have to work to pass the safety inspection? I'm gonna take mine down after 3pm today and see if I can pass but, my pb don't work. Lol

To the best of my knowledge , it does, but , if they happen to forget to test it … :)

My station hooks up the OBDII's to the machine and I don't think focuses on much else than the lights, and the wipers.

Same idea on Goldie, but the PB works in case they did/do check it.

Eons ago, I had some fumduck tell me the horn on my '65 Ford P/U was not loud enough.

Oh, really, f(ckstick ? You put a DB meter on it ? The FACTORY horn is not good enough ?

It's suppose to work but just depends how in depth they check **** out. I didn't even have to get out of vehicle when I got mine inspected. he just told me which light etc, etc, etc. he fiddled with his computer, checked insurance and handed me the slip and I handed him the 7.00 bucks! Done!:cheers:Good Luck!

A few years back I spent time and money to get my PB working because it was a requirement. Took it in for inspection, and they didn't even look at it;). But I was prepared...

Well, the SS passed so I told him I'd bring the square next. Get home got my insurance in the center console so I fire it up. Close the door roll down the window and go to put on my seat belt. Oh ****!! No where to connect the belt. I never noticed the po never installed the other part of the seat belt to snap into on either seat. So **** me no inspection today. SOB!!!

What is up with you guys and non-working parking brakes lol. We don't have a state inspection (other than emissions) in Wa, and well lets just say I like to have a working parking brake. Years ago I had a dodge slip out of park roll down a hill and slam into a brick building. No one was hurt, the building was fine, but the van was dented up a bit. Maybe it's just me because I haul so much I just don't feel comfortable leaving a loaded vehicle parked on anything other than flat ground without the brake set.

On this truck I did have to redo the rear brake, and the cables to get the brake to work properly so I guess I can see how a block off wood could be an attractive alternative for cost reasons.

Back when I had Mean Green, I had swapped out the HO52 (4.57) rear end for a Dana 60 (3.54). We couldn't get the e-brakes to hook up. So I ran it without them. But the truck had an SM420, so each time I shut-er down, into 1st gear (granny low) it went. That gear is a long throw, the shifter almost hits the dash it's so long. That sucker wasn't popping out of gear no matter what. Held some pretty steep grades with that setup on many occasions. I do prefer an operational e-brake, though. I just learned to make due with that truck without it.

Dang Big Chip, that will snazzy it right up!!!! I was debating on doing anything for a headliner at this point. I will be ordering carpet however. Don't want to spend too much money right now.....

That material you have is what my dads 77 Chevy Suburban had in it. I like it!

Took my 72 year old mother for a ride in my ‘84 this past weekend. The truck belonged to her father and the last time she rode in it was to take her mother to the doctor back in the early 90’s. She was overwhelmed with joy and can’t wait to go again. I teared up...just a little....
