Down with ABS!!!

You can run the front brakes right off the master (should be the rear port on that one?) and run the rear brakes with an adjustable valve in the circuit.

I honestly don't remember which is which on the s10 originally... I thought the larger reservoir was rear, which would be the back... But maybe I have it backwards.... I'll dig in and see..

That stupid abs module is going in the f'n trash can. How could I have been so stupid?

The Burb cylinder has the front lines to the rear port I think. If I were home I could say for 100% certain. Is that the cylinder you are still going to use?

I'm gonna bypass the abs module first, try it.... If it locks up all 4, I'll leave it be.

On the 1/2 ton MC, the larger reservoir is closest to the driver.

Alrighty....
Clocking ring installed, now it's time to bolt it down and see if I have a front driveline angle that's acceptable

OK, t case is in, and i checked, front driveline now hangs below centerline of the pinion, so that's good.

Now, because I can't see to find my t case u joint straps, I'll have to buy some.
Not a big deal.

I also found a conversion joint to go from my s10's driveline to the front axle.

I've also compiled a list of brake hardware I need to bypass the ABS unit.

After all this.. I'll be pretty close.

Looks like I'm gonna have to shorten my front shaft. I may do that myself being as it'll never see high speeds, it'll be fine.

Is that stock IFS shaft going to have enough slip in it?

It's about 1" too long now, with the slip collapsed all the way down....

I'm gonna have to take 3" out of it.

The slip yoke itself has a good bit of travel.

I had to take the t case back out, redrill the clocking ring an additional 16 degrees down for it to even line up that good, as well as lower the back eyes on the front leafs.....

This isn't gonna last forever, I'm gonna end up having to throw that mf out and just get the np241 that I need, or build myself a chain driven drop transfer case.

Haven't done much with this really.

A couple weeks back, I bypassed ABS on the front brakes with a T junction.

main -> 2 lines for each wheel.

Even without bleeding the air out, I have enough brake pressure to slow the truck and stop it.
Amazing how bypassing ABS works magic.

Anyway, haven't gotten a chance to get the np241 manual shift case yet... So still riding in 2wd.

Aired the 1 tire up yesterday, took the s10 for another torture run...

No issues again.
Drove it all over the place, truck did good.
Even did a jump in it and maybe got about 1 foot or so of air (had to try it out)
Truck didn't beat the piss out of me like it did when I tried that with the old IFS.
Welds didn't break either LOL. They must not be that bad.

Overall, was a really great run, had alot of fun.

Still waiting on my friend to finish his jeep so we can go wheel... I'm beginning to get kinda discouraged on the whole matter.

Thinking I may find a set of 36-ish tires on 8 lugs to swap on so I can drive her around town... This business of it just sitting has been a real damn bummer.

If only you were closer @Arkansas_V8, I could use those tires and wheels you have.

Sadly I didn't get the "flex" pic I wanted... But I did wanna drive it up on a steep hill sideways to see if it flipped.... Nah, suspension just folded.

I do wanna try to poke at my old man and see if he'll let me drive the s10 up on the concrete pad so I can take the forklift and pickup 1 tire and see how much she flexes.
Shes got such a wide stance... I love it..

Only issue is tranny slips occasionally when I punch the skinny..

That all started after a neutral drop back on stock suspension at 5000 rpms in a race with my buddies 5.3 LS.

(BTW I won)
