I was in Commercial construction and maintenance for 32 years. Through the years I’ve used from Lava to the citrus based cleaners. I found out at home that Dawn Direct Foaming hand cleaner worked better than anything else on dirt and especially grease.

I might have to try that. If it gets Exxon off a ducks butt, it must be good.

Am I a wimp since I wear nitrile gloves? They do break occasionally, so I'd use green Zep sprayed on my hands out in the shop and then gojo or fast orange inside. For some simple tasks I don't use gloves.
No, you're not a wimp. You're smart, because you can see that preventing the grease and grit from getting embedded in your hands in the first place is more efficient. Even while working on a big project, changing gloves several times for a lunch break, test drive, etc is way more efficient than constantly cleaning your hands.

That said, sometimes a finger tip can come off or you get grease on your arm, so these other products are good to have for that.

I have since tried gojo cherry, which I was hesitant at first and love it. Something about gojo orange I'm allergic too like dawn. I also tried fast orange in a small travel size bottle from a friend, and it causes no irritation like gojo or dawn and I'm impressed with fast orange. The grit cleanability of it. But I like cherry gojo smell and slightly less abrwsive but did good at removing a bunch of old food grade grease from my hands

Try the tub o towels, we get them from O'Reilly and Wal-Mart. I keep them in my work van and the garage now. I haven't tried the cherry bomb cleaner but have used about all the others.
