Bolted done solid.
(during these times of this "crisis" ordering stuff isn't gonna be easy, so I just used the old bolts)

Steering angle won't be bad at all.

Unfortunately this project will now be put on hold because I lended my chainfall to someone, and they broke it will "just picking up an engine"

I have no means to continue further with the little bit of front end work that's to be done.

An update with this, I went to HF before NC is locked down, bought a 2 ton chainfall.

Got the truck lifted off of the axle, then notched the webbing to allow me to slide a u bolt up in there.
That's about all I got done today, but the front axle is bolted down solid and the old factory steering drag link has been removed. So, I can safely begin working on the crossover.

I ordered weld bungs yesterday off Amazon, in the meantime while I wait on those, tomorrow I will do brakes at all 4 corners. Hopefully this will all work out with the full size master cylinder I put on.

Also I welded some triangle gussets to the front spring hanger for additional strength.

Hey Vince, did your buddy help pay for the chainfall? Didn't he break it?

Claims he's gonna buy my old one since it worked so well for lifting a motor

Always amazed at how gung-ho you are with projects.
I need to get some of that going on.

I need to get some of that going on.

At this point, I just have to setup my brakes
(purge old fluid out and attach the new extended brake lines and hook up full size master cylinder)

Finish steering
(drag link is to be made, I have everything except bungs which will be here Thursday)

Get the right lut nuts to bolt up the 2" wheel spacers

Modify crossmember to allow front shaft to hook up

Have driveshafts lengthened

Put tubes in front tires

I think that's all that remains for this project. All the hard stuff is taken care of.

Drag link is done. I have steering now!

Unfortunately I can't steer now with the tires on the ground because the pump is out of fluid.

Somehow in my all knowing mind I thought 1 quart would satisfy a full power steering overhaul
(new pump, new lines, new box)

I have a video uploading.

I don't have fluid in the system, but it steers without weight at least lol
