Has Anyone Seen These Mirrors?

I’ve got these on my 78. Looks like the truck had the original smaller mirrors and was converted at some point, as referenced by that plastic trim piece. May have even been a dealer option...there are a few things on the truck like that.

They seem like a good goldilocks between the camper special tow mirrors and the low mount tow mirrors. I'd like to get a decent pair that won't rust out in a few years, like I'm afraid LMC's will. Classic Heartbeat has some of these tripod mirrors I've linked to for $99 a set. One would hope they'd be nice for that kind of price. Has anyone seen these mirrors in person or even on a truck in pictures? I'd be willing to pay a little more for quality, if it's there.

Those mirrors go on a lot of c30s or heavier duty trucks and some vans from 76 my dad has a 76 g10 with the same mirrors

These are the ones @78C10BigTen has and they look like the full ones you posted. Just no L arm in the mirrors.

Wow. Those L arms do a lot for the looks. That truck looks like it's raising its hand to ask a question

I do have those long arm mounts off @eskimomann209 's truck plus other L arms and mirror heads if you need.

Now that is interesting. Goldie has the tripod mount and that little black piece. I assumed that was factory and they had finally engineered a fix ...

That happened on our '77 and my Dad used some stainless steel to basically do the same fix.

There is another style of OEM tripod mirrors. My '87 C30 had them. Down side, this style does not fold flush with the body.

I'll add one more. CIPA used to make extension mirrors for your current style of mirror (RPO D45). These are on a GMT-400, but same idea.

Ah, the asymmetric ones. I like them on other folks trucks but it would gnaw on me for it not to match.

I'm just proud that we've made it this far and nobody has mentioned modern tow mirrors. I can't stand them on old trucks.
