Basically it's sweet to do the 1in but don't get a finned, flat faced pan or you are asking for it ..

I'm too chicken to do a full shave on the 14 bolt right now, but one of the guys I wheel with yesterday was saying if nothing else use a grinder and get rid of the flat lip on it. Bevel it, round it out, make it smoother at least then when I drag it over something there is less chance of getting hooked.

And the bottom of the differential housing sticks below my differential cover by probably 1/4". I was thinking I'd grind it up to match the diff cover.

Id feel like leaving just a hair past the cover just in case if some thing does catch the cover it dont peel it open and drain out all your oil. Maybe im a lil causious, idk :shrug:

I have a thick protective differential cover on it already- but I agree I don't need to catch the cover on anything.
