My son just bought a 2004 Z71 X cab Silverado. I jumped in it a couple days ago and noticed he had a manual shift lever, not electronic shift. Usually it was the base model trucks that got the manual shift lever which I prefered. I was happy to see his was and surprised. I wondered if someone might have ordered it that way.

I bet it was ordered, I never see manual shift t-case at work unless it's a base model WT. You sure it's really a Z71?

Yes, I verified the RPO sticker on the truck, the big air cleaner is there too and the G80 rear axle. I was a bit shocked myself and glad to see it. My son didn't know any different but I told him that's good and rare to see in a Silverado, and damn sure in a Z71. My thoughts exactly, it had to be ordered that way.

:happy175: My son is more thrilled by his new license plate about that truck. He just got it tagged and by total random his tag is JSA196. He showed it to me and I said what? I don't get it. Then he pointed his name, Joshua and born in 1996. Not sure how he get's these #'s but when he was dirt bike racing he got 411 at age 15. I said how did you decide on 411? He said, Cuz I have all 411/Info on all the girls. I laughed my ass off. So you got THE INFORMATION, he said Yep. Oh and my birthday Aprill 11th too. He's a #'s guy for sure.
