After many years of trying to decipher what operator's were writing, "what is wrong with their trucks," I think I may have the answer. The OP is trying to add power brakes to a truck that did not originally have power.

@Smelsbad needs the bracket spot-welded to firewall. My suggestion would be go to the yard and grab everything, master cylinder, booster, bracket and push rod from the same vehicle. May even need the pedal arm if it is different.

Take a long chisel and a 3 pound hammer or other tools of destruction to remove the bracket.

You may be onto something here. @Smelsbad is this what you wanted to know? I too could not figure out what the original question was. If so, I'll clean up this train wreck of a thread, lol.

This is some information which would of been useful 9 months ago. Your question would have been answered by many here. Maybe even with a step by step guide and pictures.

Really?
On a positive note, some of the most entertaining threads on message boards I have ever seen were started because of a trainwreck kinda like this. ;)

The Grammar Police have a lot of deputies.I saw the original statement and after a few seconds realized he had some parts already and was asking if there might be anything he might incur converting to power brakes and would like to know what that might be.But then,I am pretty perceptive.I had a 69 Ford as an 18yo and would have loved to go to power brakes on that thing. But alas,I was incapable but mostly uninformed.

If I already have the vacuum booster, I would get the vacuum hose from engine to booster, hose to intake manifold fitting, check valve that goes into booster. Proportion valve is hydraulic component, don't believe it effect brake assist on C10.
