Took the gay bucket seats out of my sons 82 stepside and put bench seat in, seat cover, and gun rack in. Just need to get rid of the Sporty gay fat short man steering wheel and find an original.

Bought a bottle of Lucas Zinc Additive at Vato Zone - Advance did not have the Rislone.

Lucas says one ( fairly large bottle ) per oil change - sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet - for 20 bux, that bottle is gonna last for 2 oil changes !! :baby:
I have heard multiple times that an older broken in engine is fine without zinc in the oils.

Also does rotella no longer have zinc in it's oil. I thought I heard they changed the formula and it doesn't. I need to check it out for myself.

Not real sure on that - some earlier discussions:

I get the feeling the new formulations of diesel oils either do not, or have the level reduced.

So, added insurance with plain Jane conventional oil made sense to me.

:)

Found out that it’s time to start planning my next exhaust system. Already got a set of long tube headers from @Vbb199 . Then I found out that one of my flow masters is starting to rust out.

That's just a condensate drain hole.

Added a half quart of oil after 500 ish miles, a lot of highway.

That may sound bad, but, ...

Before I discovered the EFE valve was being pulled closed all the time, I was adding a half quart after 60 - 100 miles.

Plus, seems like it is leaking less engine oil - I suspect due to less internal exhaust pressure in the engine.

EFE routes the ps exhaust thru a passage in the intake and out the drivers side.

I'd imagine there is a lot of build up at highway speeds.:893karatesmiley-thu

(Not the smile I wanted, but I like it - it stays. LOL )

No change on the tranny leak, though- Goldie still marks the spots she has been in...

:D
