I want to convert my door manual windows to power. If I get regulators from a 76 blazer will they just bolt right up or is there more needed?

1973-76 doors are all the same. Obviously you’ll need a harness but the door hardware should directly replace your manual parts.

Yup.
Get the ENTIRE harness for both doors
Get the boots
Get the shims (if any) AND MARK EACH DOOR HINGE BOLT FROM WHERE YOU TOOK THEM! Do this for your old doors as well.

AND while you're at it get the latch pin from the door frames.

Don't throw anything away from your old doors.

You may as well get the power locks and harness while there if you don't have it already.

Correct me if im wrong but i dont think 73-76 came with power from the factory. Your 76 donor might have later model doors on it? I do believe the guts will swap between the two. but the door panels don't.

Actually someone is just selling the regulators alone no hardware so I’ll have to try and make them work. I can’t seem to find any aftermarket regulator kit for 73-76.

That must be why I can’t even find aftermarket power window regulators either for 73-76

Right, no power windows offered before '77. The inner door stamping is a little different to accommodate the power window regulator.

So if I get a power window regulator it won’t just mount in the original manual spot?

I don't believe so. But I've never tried it myself.

@bucket you reminded me that I remember reading that power windows started in 77. Could he install 77+ doors if he really wants power?

Also I believe the 73 had small wheels on the mechanism to match the window mount at the bottom of the window.

This changed to larger wheels and corresponding window mount in 1974-up.
