Hello I am new to the forum my name is Todd Newton, I am from New Roads,La. I own a
1984 K10 that I am currently restoring , I have a question need help please. There is a switch
under the dash drivers side that is directly about the stoplight switch, its activated by the same
lever on the brake arm as the the stop switch it has a vacuum line connected to it and I think
a plug with wires, what does it do and is it needed, the switch are hose has a leak and I cannot
find it at LMC are online.

Welcome. You’re really close to me, less than two hours, which for here is close. That’s the cruise control release switch for when you press the brakes. If you want cruise, you definitely need that leak fixed. If not, then no.

Thanks for your help, I have done away with the cruise with new engine, so that will no longer be needed.
Just put a new built 400 SB with EFI holley terminater its making 413 HP to the ground. big differance
from the 305 stock . Thx again TN
