Anyone attempted this? Going to just go with stock tune in the tcm I guess. Got a 7500 mile L86 6.2 and found a kit to put 4L80 transfer case on this 10 speed. I know I’ll need new shafts. Wondering about mounting? Anyone else tried this?

I swapped my entire k5 drivetrain last year but definitely not a 10 speed.
6.0/4L65e/NP241c
Was able to use stock driveshafts.
I'd be interested in knowing what the transfer case and the spline counts they are.
Which T-case are you using? Also need to make sure you have a right hand drop unless you change the front axle.

A company called Advanced adapters makes a plate to join my 4l80 transfer case to the 10 speed. I don’t have it yet to confirm it works or not. However, I don’t see any way I will be able to use the drive shafts. Btw.. I have a 383 engine with a holly throttle body coupled with a pro charger supercharger to sell if anyone wants it. I will make a heck of a deal. I will have it on a pallet this week.

What are you asking for that 383 setup?

I bought it at an auction with this drivetrain 8 months ago. The information I have says its got 12000 miles with this driveline. It has edelbrock aluminum heads, Accel ignition, procharger supercharger system. I have to be honest and say that I was not impressed with the horsepower of the supercharger. I ran it without the charger...(rerouted a different belt) and I would estimate it may have taken off 40 horsepower. This motor also uses a quart of oil every 3k miles or so. But it doesnt smoke. I will let it go for a bargain at 1500.00. I will post some pics and a video of it running this afternoon

I’ve looked hard but I bought it from a widow and she didn’t know anything. I’m estimating it made around 380 horse and it should be 500. I took the supercharger off and it dropped probable 40 horses and still got the same 8 mpg. The strange thing is that it ran perfect both ways. So the ignition system is adjusting to the boost correctly. But I just think it needs a tune. I tried to find any info and couldn’t. I’m gonna drive this a lot so I was going to just go to the late model stuff and get the efficiency. I have videos of it running and pics in the truck. My phone number is (479) 234-1572. Text me a number and I will send you a YouTube link. Haven’t figured out how to do that on this board. Feel free to call if you want.

Wonder if it's getting just a little oil blow by from heat on the cylinders and shrinking the rings a little? Or someone's ran it real hard.

Suppose we'll find out.

Any idea what kind of boost it's putting to it?
And is it pump gas?
Seems like it's either a Low safe comp ratio, or it just needs a tune.

Because my thoughts are like yours, you'd think it would make more power
My primary interest is the pro charger and fuel injection to be honest.

Definitely low compression. Runs great on crappy gas. If it was ring I would think it would smoke. It puffs a little at startup which makes me think it could be a lifter? You want the 4l80 transmission? And I don’t know the boost.

Possibly.

What's the info on it?
12k miles as well?
Any internal upgrades to stay behind a charged motor?

12k as well since in this truck. Don’t know about history. Has a harder shift but that’s possibly in the program. I will also send the TCI controller for 500. I’m using the transfer case. You would have to find one.
