Finally got around to starting the fabrication of a new heater box in the engine compartment! Got rid of the big evaporator box a couple months ago. This is going to require more beer than usual to really get those creative juices flowing. Right now I'm thinking maybe a bread loaf baking pan and part of a brownie pan fabbed together with the blower housing I saved. Can you see what I'm thinking?

I redid the door panels. Put new elastic on the map pockets, painted the panels back saddle. Put coverlay on the dash. All new cab weather stripping, all new window felt/tracks. Rebuilt vent windows. Had the truck painted with spray in liner. Pulled and restored a 79 grill from the junkyard with new bowtie for the front, and trashed the ugly 80s tube grill.

I think that's it for recently.

So want to replace the chevy grille with the correct 79 GMC grille, couldn't get the tube grille off fast enough. :) Good for you.
