Hi all! I just traded a Honda for a 1984 C10 short wheel base. This is my first square body although my dad has an 87 R10 that he bought back in the early 90s. But enough about him, I was looking for an older car when I stumbled upon this. I’ve always liked these trucks, but in my area, they are quite expensive running and driving. Mine looks horrible now, but I can see potential there. I’m thinking about taking it back to stock as far as the color, interior, rims, and options. I don’t know if the original engine is in the truck or what genius put circle track valve covers on it. I’m thinking of lowering and maybe an engine/transmission swap in the future, probably something fuel injected and definitely with an overdrive for fuel efficiency. I don’t know. I’m going to do some site searching and welcome any and all suggestions.

Thanks Old77. I’m not going to do anything too drastic right now because I want to keep driving her.

100% get it! That's what I did when building my '77 and now am doing the same with my dually. My '77 was only down for short periods of time during the winter but for the most part I drove her while I fixed her up. So I completely get that strategy. IMO, it's the most satisfying way to build it :)
