Not an expert but I thought all the big block setups used a remote PS reservoir either like this or on the core support. Pretty sure my 73 C30 with factory 454 and AC is like this..

I started looking at some images of 70's 454 trucks and remembered this pump style. I recall some of my 70's square bodies having it. Maybe this is narrower neck is what you need to clear the bracket. Classic Parts sells this one for big block 75-79 trucks. $65

I don't know if you have Napa Auto Parts there, but they carry a rebuilt one for $52. P/N PS 381266.

I believe those square holes are to attach a ratchet or breaker bar to tighten the belt.

How come none of the pictures are showing up on this thread? I have the same problem in a 76 K10 with a 400. My power steering belt is really loose.

I just replaced my lines, and I think I got them reversed. Can anyone tell me on this picture which opening is for the pressure line from the pump. I have a 1976 K10 with a 400.

I thought they're different sized lines. 1 should be 5/8" and the other should be 11/16". Not on my truck they're both the same.
