i have tried later K5 and Suburban hoses. F body hoses. And now an LT1 Caprice hose and nothing fits.

There are some really knowledgeable dudes here. Anyone know what fits this?

EDIT. I updated the title of the thread. Hopefully if anyone else needs to find the compressor to lines seal they will find this for the part numbers.

There is assortment of rubber coated washers that make it fit. Regular r4 compressor

But an R4 out of what? I can’t find a set of hoses that will fit it correctly, especially since it’s now on the passenger side.

Ok then. I have a set of those. 56373.
I guess I just need to find the washer. I assume the lines just don’t come with the washers.

I have two of these washers out of a 55455 line. One fits, the other side looks to be a thinner washer with a bigger diameter.

I should be able to go to the parts store, and find that washer, correct?

Found these NAPa part numbers for anyone looking.

407279 yellow seal
407278 green seal
407277 red seal

It looks like what I was reading, the green and yellow work for GMC compressors. What a pain in the ass. I wonder if someone ganked them from the line kit.

AC Delco part number 15-20058

AZ button pushers couldn’t find it.
O’Reilly was closed but online wants $30.

Per seal, at NAPA, it’s like 2.69 and 3.99 per seal.

Sounds like you found them.

Thanks for the guidance. I’m not sure if those seals are supposed to come with the lines or not. I assume they do come with the compressor though. All the online parts catalogs do not point them out.

It’s frustrating when you’re piecing things together that you KNOW should work but you’re missing that ONE part that will bring it all together.

On the other hand, through my searching, finding the other amount of cars that run R4 compressors is amazing.

I was looking at this thinking how can they not work? I took an R4 from a 90s camaro with the serp swap and bolted the lines from my 79 vette to it. Not sure if they sealed or not havent tried to charge the aC.

Well. Since my lines didn’t fit exactly because I didn’t have he seals, I wasn’t sure if I was missing something and got to the point it was pissing me off.

I couldn’t find the connector for this compressor and after half a day of searching, found out it was an early model big body LT1 car compressor.

I didn’t know at the time it was just a seal issue, so after trying the later squarebody hose and it not being 100% correct, I tried the late 80s to early 90s big body cars. One seal fits but the hoses are too short in bind.

The SB hoses are special order. AZ was over a week. O’R was 3 days. Summit was over night ground. Paying that shipping was still cheaper by $10-20 from the other two.

Hopefully this post will help someone else in the future when you’re Frankensteining parts together.

New or reman compressor usually comes with assortment of seals. Hoses usually do not.
