I was wondering what it would take to go from dual tanks to single?truck is 1986 c20 dual tanks work great but bed is in ruff shape and found a mint single tank bed

This is how my truck’s passenger tank is routed. Works fine. Not sure if it’s a cucv thing or what. The strap doesn’t look original, but the rest doesn’t look hacked. probably an adaptation. People like to look at what the heck I’m doing at the gas pump though.

Yes they are but the passenger one becomes useless when you get a different bed

Cucv trucks were originally single tank. Someone added the second to yours. Pretty simple and straightforward solution if you don't want to cut the box side.

Me personally, I have been trying to figure out a way to link the two tanks. Not to hijack the thread, but I really want to keep the two 16 gallon tanks, be able to fill up on either side with 32 gallons from dry, and only need to run the one fuel pump.

I haven't figured that one out though.

I agree 32 is better than 16.i would like to go away with the tank valve selector, that thing is a pain too replace
