I am asking this for my stepdad (Pop). He has a '69 F250 4x4. I know this is a Chevy site, but I also know you guys have probably worked on many different makes and models through the years. With that said, here is his dilemma.
He bought a 12" clutch to replace the clutch in the truck. He has had it for a while and it will be a pain to return. He already had the flywheel resurfaced, and was going to button things up when he discovered he had an 11" clutch in it. He needs to get a new flywheel, his old one had some minor cracking so it's not a bad thing to replace it. He needs to know if the 11.5" and 12" clutches have the same bolt pattern. He can't find any answers online, but did speak to a guy from the South, and he said they do. I asked my parts store the same question and they were 80% sure the 11.5 and 12 inch clutches have the same bolt pattern.
Do any of you guys know?
He has the number of the new flywheel and is ready to place the order, he just wants to make sure he gets the correct flywheel so he doesn't have to ship it back. That, and he wants to drive the truck again after going through the engine.
