I bought some s/s wheel covers to put on my 83 3500 the came with the plastic caps with the plastic nut covers, well somewhere along the way GM changed the lugs to metric. The double threaded lug nuts won’t work so I have these caps that are supposed to hold the skins on that are useless to me. I’m thinking of using a fender washer behind my existing lug nut to hold the skins on, any thoughts.

IIRC, GMT 800s had black plastic lug nut covers to hold on the center caps.

Yes, I have all those, my problem is the double threaded lug nuts needed to use them are metric for the newer model trucks. I would have to put all new metric studs in my wheels for them to work. That is what I’m trying to get around. Thanks

You can get the right thread for our trucks in the dual thread lug nuts but the seat angle is 60° instead of 90° (or 45°).

It’s the wrong seat angle like I said before. I’d buy one and see how it works if t were me.

Gives a little class to a retired farm truck, I bought it from the original owner it’s a survivor.
