Since my 79 is a big ten, I plan to use it to tow stuff with, so I am going to gear it appropriately, my original plan was to go with 3.73s and 31's, but then I thought that if I went the route of a gear vendors OD, with 4.11's and 31's would give me around a 3.20 gear in OD, but with the grunt of 4.11's in the bottom, and gear splitting would be fun. The money is a factor, but at this point it doesn't really matter and I'd rather build it once and be happy than to build it twice. Don't want to mess with a GM automatic overdrive as I already had the TH350 rebuilt that belongs to the truck.

If you are willing to spend the money, my vote goes to the GV setup for sure!

GV if your towing there is no question you will be very happy after it is done. the gear splitting is the huge benefit when towing no other way to go.

Just voted no surprises there
