So I committed a rookie mistake and while cleaning up my gauge cluster I broke my speedometer needle. I want to just go ahead and buy a new set for all of my gauges(this pic was before I broke the needle). Can anyone recommend a good place to get them? I have a 1984 Chevy Silverado K10. Guages in question are Fuel (Large), Speedometer (Large), Volts (small), Oil (small) & temp (small).

Junkyard or LMC would be my thoughts. Been some discussion on the LMC gas gauge, though - IIRC they said it would fall when the key was off.

Best of luck !

I already tried LMC and my only option is to replace the whole gauge @ $150 for the speedometer and $50 for the oil.

Some one on this site surely has extra gages and will come to your rescue!

I hope so I would love to find a place to buy aftermarket ones. I found through a lot of searching that is a sought after part.

I've got good take out volt, oil and temp gauges from an '82 sitting on a shelf in my garage at home. I can take pics of them when I get home tonight and you can tell me what you think they're worth. I'm thinking they interchange. Anyone want to jump in and verify this?

That would be great if they are compatible.

This is my old OEM fuel gauge. I got a new one from LMC. Needle would fall from 3-6 0'clock when near full when key off. When near empty, would fall from 9-6 0'clock when key off. Needle would return to correct position when started. I contacted LMC cause I thought it was defective. They sent me another new one and it did the same. I now have a new one in truck which I modified slightly to not fall very far cause it bugged me. I also have a new one extra. The old gauge worked, just bounced a lot. Lost it's dampening to hold very steady.

Any way, I think I can remove needle from old fuel gauge and send it to you.

It is orange, 1 3/4" long. I am not for certain that it will fit your speedo.

If you think it will fit or if someone knows for sure let me know.
