Texas member meet

OK, wow it was on the home page of the facebook group, lol. The group for it is Lone Star Squares and they do a really great job of listing Texas events all over the state. https://www.facebook.com/groups/LoneStarSquares/

The weekend meetup in Waco is at Sonny's Garage but it's a scheduled event, and happens on March 24th this month.

If you join up on that facebook group and go to the events page there are several other events listed there as well. More than I can copy and paste at work right now.

Resurrecting this thread. Interested members contact me a PM so maybe we can pull a meeting off and choose date and location. Looking to be held in the DFW area. Also for any other members that want to travel. I know sometimes it isn't easy or possible but the ones that want to and can make it. Not going to be a big elaborate meet, at least not at first, depending on attendance and interest.

So, let's try to make this happen. Some of us are only getting older.....LOL

FWIW There has already been 2 or three meetups at car shows this season. I think there will also be a meet-up and drive in before C-10's in the park and then also right before the big meetup in Mexia in Octoboer. I know each of those tend to have a truck give away. The one in Mexia this year is a 4 x 4 suburban with barn doors from what I recall. You can check further on the Lone Star Squares facebook page.

My main idea is for gmsquarebody.com members. To meet forum members and get to know them, see their squares in person and generally just chew the fat for a few hours. All those other meets are ok but it's not just forum members. Maybe it was just a thought. I think it would be cool to do it. Oh, well.

I get it but piggy backing off the other meetups might be a good idea as well. Not sure what harm could come from it.

That would be great. Some of the OK members should be able to make it to that too. I'd sure like to go if I have something half ass worthy of going.

At one time we where sorta talking about putting together a meet up at my dad's property. I think that was another forum though. Can't remember now. Then there was biggo blow up and sides got drawn so it kind of ruined the idea and planning of a get together.

I can't come to a Dallas meet but my daughter might be interested. Big Bertha has made several trips to Dallas this year so far with no problem what so ever.
