I'm trying to get the vent windows out of a K5 Blazer side (cap)window and not having much luck. One already broke off. Heard about melting wax but unsure how it, or any penetrating fluid, could get under screw head. Also, wondered how to get heat into screws without damaging the seal. Any ideas?

Penetrating oil and wax are both wicked up into the threads by capillary action.

I’ve sworn by PB Blaster, heat, and patience for over a decade when dealing with rusty hardware. Recently bought my first can of Aerokroil and truly feel it’s in a league of its own. Beyond that I don’t have much useful advice... good luck!

I've tried wax, don't waste your time. I use PB Blaster and/or Liquid Wrench. Youtube "Project Farm" for the testing of penetrating products.

Yeah
Kroil is good stuff

Still only sold at hvac supply houses

I’ve sprayed it in a small container like the cap that comes on the can and mixed it with anti seize stuff that comes in the container with the brush and let it soak in for a day or so
It works pretty good

I got some seized screws out of my K5 window frames, I don't recall exactly what I used, but it was just penetrating oil like PB Blaster. They were stuck in there pretty good, but some soaking time helped.

I sprayed some liquid wrench on my seized screws. Let them sit for a few minutes. I tapped the screw driver with a hammer and they eventually all came lose.
