I'd also like to point out, Corvette directional wheels were side-specific. There was a pair of wheels for both directions.

Transmission has been happily dumping it's guts out over last couple of days. Must be coming through cut up tv cable. Some pictures of the horrors. Battery either weak or there is a drain as it would not start today

Wow after those pics I have a lot of questions

Let's forget that the computer is just flopping on the intake for a minute and start with the fire hazards. That black mushroom cap shaped piece about 3 inches south of the vice grips, the one that has a nut on top and a hose connector on the other end. It's a check valve for the smog and they recirculate hot manifold gasses on lt1's. They can and will get hot, maybe give the wires running across it some clearance.
Something like a zip tie would work. If you can find one.

The metal tie near headlight motors holds the hood hinge together. I need to go through alot of things under the hood, there are also random wires laying around and battery ready to fall out.

Love it when folks paint their aluminum wheels black to be trendy, and then watch as the paint starts to flake off.

You must really love a challenge taking on that POS. :) But sounds like you're on top of things, so git 'er dun!

 I have never, in my life seen so many zip ties just holding things on!!! I'm almost surprised that the door hinges are zip tied. Oh, motor mounts are bad? better run to O'Reilly and grab some zip ties :happy175:

You scored a free pair of vise grips too? LOLo_O
Craftsman even! None of that flimsy overseas garbage!
Unfortunately those were mine to get the trans to somewhat work and give it a bit of throttle operation. I did score them with my camaro I believe, as they were serving as a window crank if I remember correctly.

I think I just revealed that I have a habit of questionable purchases.
