I need to see a picture of the upper radiator support thing that holds the rubber mounts in a 1977 truck.
I am trying to replace the missing part in my C20 but can't figure out what it even looks like / is called / where it's sold...

help!

Negative @Charlie .
All i've seen are those pictures up there and between those, my buddy Bryan, me, the truck, the cataligs and books I own, my surmise is that there is some type of "L" shaped plastic? bracket dealy that runs the legnth of the radiator CORE, which is about 28" long. .... yeah....
It must sit DOWN from the absolute top of the core support and have four bolt holes what attach it.
Reckon i'll call that dude parting the $300 truck out orrrrrr maybe i'll go look at it and buy the whole thing lol. Gonna go to Brysn's shop now since I fixed thd IROC last night. She needs a proper test drive-in. Winky.Face. ;)
I totally fixed it like, an hour ago haha!

Good lookin out though, thank you.

Are you looking for the upper panel that is specifically for the 70's trucks equipped with the shorter radiator? It's a big piece of stamped steel.

Thank you mens.

It seems that for SOME REASON 1977 stuff was very specific which is only adding fuel to my fire.
I think it bolts to the core support 4x and fits behind the fan shroud between the two with some type of channel the headlight loom rides in.
Again, i'm not real sure but i'm gettin ready to find out!

Cuz! I am in contact with the craigslust dude and he's trying to sell me an entire truck for $300.
Dude. I can't take an entire truck, I only need some parts lol. F××k I love craigslist.

I paid $400 for the one i've got....and it's an ASSLOAD of work!

Lol....omg ahahaha! :D I shudder at the thought of a $300 square...

He says he's got the part i'm after and we are making arrangements to meet up as I type this.
I've been to MY truck today already, I have a list and a pocketful of money. It gets handled TODAY! ? Omg pinch me. I've owned this truck damn near a decade.

The state fair is in town this week and the shop is DEAD. I could not have asked for a better time!

Ungh.

Welllllllllll

I drove to the Craigslist dude's house today, thirty three minutes away says Google Maps but I got there in 44 flat!

He sold me the thing I wanted for 10 bucks before I spent another 40.

Will a MOD move the posts of this thread to the C20 Babe's UNDER CONSTRUCTION place, please?

This went WAAAAAAY easier than I had originally anticipated and this post no longer needs to exist.

Thank yous!

Ten bucks American!
:love62:

There is much to tell in that other thread!!

Omg dude has a BED FULL of Square Body parts!

Is this what you are looking for? It's the low radiator mount for straight 6 trucks and blazers. I found this on Ebay once and downloaded the picture so I would know what it looked like but never was able to get a part #.

Thanks for pointing that out. I did not realize there was a reference section. My fault for just clicking the new posts button, lol!!! :33:

Glad you included that picture because I've always wondered exactly how it fit in there.
