Delay wipers in a 78?

So would I need the parts from a 78-80 truck to work, or would up to 83 work? Is it pretty much plug and play?

From 1978-83 it is all plug n play with what you currently have. However whether the module internally is good is another matter. I overhaul certain aspects of the circuit board and bench test them with a new switch to verify their operations.

I’m out at the moment but I have 3 that I need to re-furbish with new internals...if you can give me a few days I’ll have a couple more ready to go!

I will do a module re-furbish for $45. I’ll cover shipping back to you-just send it to me. I’ll bench test the module and send a little video demo once its finished prior to shipping back to you.

I'm thinking this one would be pretty much free. Put in another switch next to your high/low (floor dimmer) switch. I thought it was a joke at first, but really, it's pretty clever....

Classic seems to have the delay modules for the 78-83 trucks. Around $100 so it's not cheap. https://www.classicindustries.com/product/g10140.html
They have the switch as well for around $50. Not sure what the quality level is tho.

Both the 78-83 and 84-91 modules are not Potted and the through hole components are available. Sooo... If you have a dead one it can usually be repaired by a competent electronics repairman. Probably for less than the cheaply made Chinese replacements.
