I feel dumb asking how to do this but I can't get that dang thing out. Pulling everything off the firewall so I can spray it while the engine is out and I can't figure out how to remove that release rod. Looks like it just hooks in to a rubber bushing on the parking brake assembly but it doesn't want to come out.
Am I being too gentle or is there a trick to getting it out?
