It had been running awile befor that. It was at set at 2k for around 15mins. Once we get lash set ill set it at 3.5k for 10.The lash is next to perfect, but i want to make sure.

ALSO, at around 190-200F and 800-1k rpm oil press is 45psi, not to shabby. Exspecially since its a standard pump.

Well she is sitting on all fours. Tomarro Ill take my maiden voyage, open headers and all. :) :) :) :) .

And since she is an AC car, and also runs R-12, im planning on converting her to r-134(also going to a newer compressor). So for now im leaving all the ac bracketry off. And I ended up converting the pulley system to a heat only setup(robbed from a 74 swb).

Well it seems you are finally making steady progress on this thing. I guess I better get working on my Nova, because I remember teasing you and saying my car would be on the road before yours. But dammit it's still cold outside, lol.

Bucket, i was just looking back thrue my discussion, and i stumbled across this. The monte is hitting the roads tomarro, uncorked and all.

At 9:45 this morning she made her Maiden voyage. She pulls hard once shes moving, but she is not getting enough initial rpm(converter). And she could use a little more advance.
So today I went and picked me up a recurve kit, and Right befor i took this video I put the kit in, atm it has the weakest springs.
Later on I plan to get a different converter(2400), thats gonna help a bunch off the line.
Today I went and priced out an exhaust ($200 out the door), so once i get my crossmemeber all done, she might be going in to get that put on. (ill have to idle into town lol).
And since I have no emission laws, and i did away will all that ****, I think im gonna add a second vacume storage ball, at idle i have little to no vacume assist lol. Its not leaking, there just isnt enough vacume.
P.s. Once the video is done uploading ill edit this.

I'd just take the Vac boot off and go manual brakes if Vac is that big of a problem. Must be a biggo cam.

at the time i didnt have my vac ball hooked up, so that also made a big difference. And when its warm i have the idle down low.
In the video it wasnt quite at base idle. And in gear its just above stalling, but thats how i want it.

Yup, my Nova project turned into my C10 project and that thing hit the street a month or two ago, open headers and all. It's all tuned and ready to go, just need mufflers and fatter rear tires.

that was around when i originally wanted it done, then times changed. Now it needs a little fine tuning, a converter, and exhaust. But the converter can wait. I have my tires covered, althought i might be getting 2 new front runners. The ones on the front right now were distributed by montgomery ward XD.

Well, it feels like my trans is skipping first gear. At a stop I preload the converter and launch, it starts in first, but then imediatly hesitates and kicks to second, i know it goes to second cause after that theres only 1 shift. But when i go manual i get all 3 gears pulling hard.

And it sucks not knowing how fast your turning going down the road, she kept wanting to keep climbing, but i had no clue how fast she was rapping. That and the front tires are questionable.

And in refference to your biggo cam comment, today i ran vacume to see what i can pull. In gear at idle is 8-9.
