Oil Pressure Wiring
Yeah I have the gauge on the dash. Worked fine before I swapped the motor. Now the wire is just sitting in the engine bay. I was hoping to wire it into the 3 prong oil pressure switch (the one I have wired up for the fuel pump)- ceejay

So on my 81, I just swapped in my 383. From factory, there are 2 different oil pressure units. One is a sender, and one is a switch. To my knowledge, the 2 prong unit down by the oil filter is just operating the choke heater. The bigger canister type up my the manifold is giving signal to the...- ceejay

I have no idea what's up with my floor vents. Ever since I got the truck, heat has worked, and when I put it on defrost, the floor vent shuts and I get defrost like it should normally work. My problem is when it's not on defrost, that flap is wide open on the bottom and my foot gets HOT. When... -

Saw a 90s 350 Vortec (I think) engine on Facebook Marketplace today. It was a 880 block, which I believe has provisions to run roller cam and has mechanical fuel pump. Am I correct on this?- ceejay

Idk. I just feel like when I pop the hood it's more natural to see a 350/454 under it then an LS Swap. It's not like I loathe LS Swaps.- ceejay

@Bextreme04 I guess it's more tempting now to get machine work done because with all the stuff that you listed, I thought it would cost more. 300-350HP is about what I'm after, but more concerned with torque. I've seen some junk Vortec 350s for about $300 around me, but alot of miles. @75gmck25...- ceejay

Looking under there today and noticed alot of fluid seems to be lurking around the pan area. This plug I took a picture of seems to have alot of gunk around it along with some fluid. Is that the speedo cable? The speedo hasn't worked since I've gotten this truck, I'm thinking this could be why...- ceejay
