So I am shopping around for new manual window regulators for my 83 C20.
One site says "may require rivets for installation".
And of course it so happens they sell the rivet kits.
Has anybody ever run into this on their truck ?

Our trucks don't use the rivets, but most 80's GM products do use rivets.

Don't bother with the rivets. I mean you can use them but self tapping screws work just as good and makes it easier to remove later.

GM always used 1/4 inch rivets. Self tappers that big are on the verge of being considered lag bolts. These trucks use studs and threaded holes anyway.
