I'm coming from old school Chevy muscle cars into theses square body's now that I have one but I would think if your running a 10inch wide wheel you'd want a 5.5bs but maybe that's just when it comes to cars? I have 295/50/15 on my rear right now on a 15x8 rim and personally it won't look good to me until I drop the rear 8 inches. But that's off subject.

Exact same tire/ rim size here. Im thinking about putting a 255/60 or 255/50 on a 15x10 after i drop it 2-3 inches

Not 100% sure, they were on the truck when I bought it. I'm thinking 12in wide wheels. Actually looking for a narrower set of 15" draglites so I can run a rear tire that isn't so d*mn expensive...

275/60 15s are the best for these trucks.. on all 4 corners.

I have 20x10" wide in the back. Its a tight fit and I have about 3/4" space between the inner and outer part of the rear fenderwells. I have 20x8" wheels in the front. With the 5/7 drop, the front fenderwells are no longer installed. 10" wide wheels are the max for most wheel mfgs, unless something custom is ordered and they are priced accordingly.
What is the backspacing on the wheels on the rear and what tires are you running?

What back spacing are you running in the rear and could you go smaller if you wanted?

Yes...smaller tires would also fit...you could also run a 290x40x20 as well for more clearance.

I put 15x10's on this truck. I do not recall backspace. I went to buy wheels and tires for the truck and the guy at the shop had these sitting on the floor. He said someone ordered them and then never came to pick them up and he had them for a while so I snatched them up. I thought the truck looked pretty good with them on.

What are the tire sizes?

1982 Chevy C10 2wd Longbed. Growing up my dad and I worked on several of these trucks that he had. This is my first solo restoration. I moved to the south where rust doesn't exist. Truck is in good condition. Pics will come soon.

Opinions on wheel size. Truck may be dropped 2 inches in the front. MAYBE. I'm looking for a nice tire and rim that will give it a wide "stance". I leaning toward American Racing Rims.

Thanks! BGrew
