I need to do mine, and I took one apart and it seems kind of complicated lol.

The mechanics of the plate and spring are straightforward enough, the seal I have seems to be a good bit longer than it needs to be.

I'm still at work, I was just idly thinking if I put the windows back together I could get it out from the stupid cover it's under lol.

I'll get pics when I get home, I still have one put together, and one apart. I'm fairly confident I have mismatched doors, with one being a 81-91 door.

Double check whether or not you have one or two piece vent seals. Mine's an '87, and it had two piece seals. As far as I can tell, it has the original doors, and I've also seen an '89 part that had two piece seals. The part that you have to be most careful is the removal of the frame from the door to avoid hurting the main window glass. Same goes for replacement, but you get an idea of how it works once you've taken it out. Also, it's important to keep track of the hardware that mounts the window to the frame and to remember the order and manner that all the pieces go back into place. Otherwise, it's fairly straightforward.

Since we are on the topic of vent windows. I just rebuilt mine and ordered glass from LMC. The hole is too small in the glass for the locking handle to go through. I emailed them, we will see what they have to say.

I think 1A Auto sells them already redone with a core charge if it seems too risky or time consuming.
