Which 4L80E?

Did you ever pull it off? If not, why not? Total newb question: is the bolt pattern to the engine block LS specific, or will it bolt to a vortec era 350?

I haven't due to funds, that and I like guns lol. I am still thinking about getting the 6l80 to NP205 adapter due to the lower price. Never know what will come up in the future, and the price or other options price might be higher at that time.
