Well, keep in mind this is just castings. By the time you buy valves, springs, retainers, keepers, blah blah blah, you'll have $700-$800 in them.

That's not bad at all. So after the $140 then you just have machine work to have the valves fitted which shouldn't be but about $50-$60 a head. Still not to bad.

Just be careful that all this cool stuff isn't Proform brand aka Noname brand. Proform aftermarket performance products are China made. It's like Harbor Freight in that there products are a crap shoot. Some are great for the money some are junk and some are a hit and miss where fit and finish are just horrible. Like intake manifolds for example. I hear some need the holes elongated so the manifold will bolt up, and some you need to gasket port yourself so the ports line up with the head. Summit carries some Proform stuff. Just check the reviews.

Maybe this stuff isn't Proform or like parts at all. Give it a try Guinea Pig and let us know how it works out. Certainly would be a good price point if the quality is there and the performance is equal to that.

First thing I'd do is pressure check the castings, some them are so porous that coolant will seep right through the castings.. That Elgin set is ok for grocery getter stuff..
