Man, parts houses aren't what they used to be, I miss the days where there was that old guy behind the counter with that book that was a foot thick...... now its a joke. Took me 4 times to get the right carrier bearing for my drive shaft on my truck.

The only one I haven't had an issue with anymore is napa, everything else has been useless or just wastes my only full day off work running back and forth 5 times, I'm gonna start taking chances online, instead of having the truck tore apart thinking I got everything lol

Getting a little work done on the 350 for the 85, have to buy an oil pan as the one that came off is pretty well destroyed from over torque of the bolts and the one I bought was left hand dipstick and the block is a right hand only

In my efforts to correct my pinion angle, I have discovered that the wreck I was in last year did in fact bend my rear axle. Explains a lot of issues that I've been battling. Off to craigslist I go... dammit. :shitsweak: stupid 10 bolts.

Took my wheel off and re-oriented it and drilled a new hole so i could access the horn button. Hit the wire to the center and the horn works. Hopefully soon i can get the horn button setup and put the center on it.

Its an OLD sunpro. It came out of my 90 k1500. It was in it when i bought it in like 2005.... its a super tach 2. It works good and i put an LED bulb in it so its bright. I like that its compact and fits nicely between the gauges in my view.

This also raises a question... the redline has always been set at 4k on both trucks it was on. Both stock sbc 350s, what is the right redline for a stock 350? Anybody know?

I'd say about 4500 rpm is where most made peak power. No reason to go past peak power, but probably 5500 as a 'safe' redline, if valve float doesn't occur first.

When the engine decides it doesn't want to keep revving, runs out of wind. Say you hold it in 1st and mat it, when it gets to 5500 or whatever it will not continue to gain revs.
