Nice shots from the show & killer looking squares!

Thanks. The three of us met on this forum and hopefully we can muster up more local square owners to join us in upcoming shows.

Square pride!!

Are you guys in Phoenix? I might be down for a show or two now that I've got the 'burb (mostly) sorted out.

That's very cool. My trucks are not show trucks, but car shows are always a blast. Especially if there is a swap meet as well...

Time to put some miles on the 700R4 swap. Shifting a bit high, but that's better than too low for now.

HRPC, it WAS a TH400 in there. Sorry about the insistence before. As soon as I rolled under it again I knew I had been wrong when I insisted it was a TH350 based off the codes!

Anyway, the truck is totally transformed now. Pun intended. Gotta add a tach to fine tune the shift points, and I will probably swap out the gear indicator too.

Did something like that to my 86 burb I had, kept pulling the screws out (possibly cause of the 250 lb reading on my scale, lol). Went and got some of the aluminum insert nuts for 3/8-16, drilled the holes in the bumper and put the inserts in. Worked great, I had a little bit more of a platform since I have a 13 4E boot, takes a little space to have my whole foot there. :)

Yeah I drilled holes and put some 3/8 bolts through, she ain't going anywhere. I've got a size 12 shoe and I can get both feet up there, haven't tried with my boots on tho

@thatsquareguy that step is great. May have to do something like that myself!

Yesterday was Red Truck maintenance:

Rear diff fluid and gasket, trans fluid, oil change, Flamethrower coil install, plugs/wires/cap/rotor, timing check.

I'd recommend it, I made this out of scrap in just a couple class periods, its nearly done in less than a week of classtime on it

Relocated the rear frame crossmember and welded old tire support in place to stop the tank from rising. I'll install the strap cross member closest to the axle when i go to install. I won't be using it until the 5.3 is in. Current tank is on the passenger side only. I'll run fuel line along the frame if I have time. Waiting for it to dry to put some Harbor freight chassis and grill paint on the ass end. I wanted POR15, but not in the budget right now. LOL it aint gonna look pretty.....but should be better than what was on it.

Do your drill bits a favor, use four bits increasing up to 7/16" when you get drill out the rivets. And drill a few rivets with the same bit before you change it.....saves drill bit change count.

Looks good. I use Rustolium gloss black on everything. Good coverage and lays flat. I brush it on and you can't tell 95% of the time.
