Blueprint engines want you to put 3k on their engines before synthetic is used.

But it's not full synthetic, everyone's telling me not to put synthetic in but a few have said partial is fine

Any empirical evidence on this?

I'm not challenging the opinions here, and I'm hope there will be more forthcoming, just wondering myself if there is evidence
besides what the oil companies say.

My personal oil philosophy has been run standard oil (not going to say 'cheap' oil) and change it OFTEN.

But I'm really open to learning more...

So You use that right after break in
I do but I have a roller cam but Rotella is formulated for OTR trucks that need good oil so the engines run reliably for hundreds of thousands of miles I've used Rotella for years with out issue.

I'm sure it's all broken down somewhere. Not saying u have to use synthetic. I think it's more of a preference thing. There should be some advantage to using it.
