I bought an aftermarket billet grille and I can't figure out how to use the OE turn signal housing (if possible)

One option might be a 81 or 82 front bumper it has the lights in the bumper not behind the grill

You could adhere some kind of stud to the back of the grille and bolt them on that way If there's a place to do that. The factory grille is recessed and has integrated plastic studs so it fits cleanly and snugly. You maybe able to space it out where it looks good, but I doubt it'll be as glove-fitting as factory. Or you could do what Andrew said. That'd probably be easier.

That's the only way I've ever seen them, behind the chrome.

Interesting grill option just found at LMC http://www.lmctruck.com/features/cc/ccgrm.htm. I've wondered that too, a few of the kit instructions I've seen said something about having to cut off certain tabs on the existing housing and then attach them to clips on the rails.

Oh yeah I did that on a billet grill I had in my 87. Took it out before I sold it I'll take some pics tomorrow. I cut mounting tabs off the light and the grill came with some self tappers to screw it to the grill
