Well my friend's 'away' for a while and his 83 k20 was originally a sm465 truck. Previous owners put in a th400 with big Lokar double bend shifter that looks retarded. They also didnt take out the clutch wiring, pedal, rods....

My 87 has the wire runnin down to the th400 for the kickdown and his doesnt even tho it does have the plug on the trans. Do i need to just run a wire up to the fuse block? Do i need a new fuse block or harness? Do i need to even bother with it? cuz ive been told it needs it and ive been told it doesn't need it. Is it gonna be a huge pain in the ass and should i just trade it to get him a k5 he wanted? Haha

Thanks.

I've known guys to just run a hot wire to a toggle switch for the kickdown instead of putting factory switch on the floor, either way it's an easy deal..
