Still working on it a bit. I added a few more examples. I think it still needs massaging.

Didn't notice it mentioned. Open Office is free. You can even save the files in Microsoft format.

There are tons of formula's as well. A handy one is adding up cells. Type =sum(c1:c10). That will give you total for c1-c10 in that cell.

Yep, been using it for quite a while, it also converts Excel files to Open Office, LibreOffice is another free office suite that works pretty good..

Sorry y'all. I've been sick as a dog. I hate having this stupid temporary ileostomy, it's hard to stay hydrated. But then someone from work who knows that I have had back to back surgeries and about to have my third and last to reverse this ileostomy, came into work and got me sick. So I ran a 101° fever all week till I went into the ER Thursday night so I could get 2500cc's of fluid into me.

Anyways, I'm cleaning it up and putting in formulas. I left it on my work computer and I had to break into my work computer and send it to myself on Friday.

I use spreadsheets for truck parts all the time. I mainly keep a parts list and project list on my phone so I can add to it when I've got an idea out on the run and all.

Here's two sheets I put together. One was a format I grabbed from some shopping list where it was setup to automatically pick the lowest price between stores. The other one has a macro to sum up the totals based upon the background color of each cell.

Based on your layout, I wonder if you could have a separate page for each main area: Body, Engine, Suspension, Axles, Etc. And somehow have them link to that main page so if you added in one or the other it'd update in both. Like you could have the big stuff on the main page, then all the actual detailed stuff in the subsequent worksheets?
