Thought I had Dana 44 ? Help

Ok so looking at my Front differential cover on my 86 k10 ....I thought it was Dana 44 but the diff covers are shaped different on aftermarket ones I wanna buy....what front diff is in my truck? Here's pic

Yes, GM10 bolt. The D44 started getting phased out in the late 70's. I think by '80 they were all GM10 bolts.

Yep as posted above the Dana 44 covers ALWAYS look like that. So you have a 10 bolt not a Dana 44

Ok thanks so much... the front 8.5 inch GM differential, are there any issues with these differentials ? I know people swap them out with other diffs.

Isn't the GM 10bolt pretty much like an updated version of the D44, but without really any strength or service life improvements?

American Axle pretty much copied it.

They are both pretty much the same. Only reason people swap out either of them would be for a D60 for severe use off road.
